I haven’t posted on the website in a very long time. This is mainly due to me being so busy working flat out at work and on client work. I had planned my first holiday in 3 yrs well in advance and the time slowly rolled up to it. The trip was to go to Tanzania for 3 weeks and I have to say it has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I was completely cut off from technology for most of my time there and only had access to my email the very rare occasion. I took lots of pictures, ate lots of food and got to learn about a new culture on top of beginning to pick up a new language.
A lot of things were new for me but I was excited and ready to indulge in everything . When I went to Zanzibar’s Stone Town. I found the town was steeped in Architectural history. Everywhere you turned there was a story to be told.
I hadn’t taken a proper holiday in so long I had forgotten what it was like to sit back and not worry about anything. After an enjoyable trip there was one resounding thing which I brought back with me, the importance of rest. Going 100 mph all the time will burn out anyone and your creativity/productivity will suffer. So the moral of the story, take more breaks and see the world. You will come back refreshed and inspired.
